Introduction: The crown fish dog is a medium-sized bird of the kingfisher family. The body length is 24-26 cm, the wingspan is 45-47 cm, and the body weight is 70-95 g. The head has a prominent crown. The body feather is black, with many white ellipses or other large spots. The middle of the crest is almost white, with only a few white round spots. It inhabits waters such as forests, mountain foot plains, shrubs or sparse forests, clear and slow waters, streams, lakes, and irrigation canals. The food is dominated by small fish, eating crustaceans and a variety of aquatic insects and their larvae, as well as small frogs and small amounts of aquatic plants.
