  Introduction: The gray crane is a large wader with a body length of 100-120 cm. The neck and feet are very long, the plumage is mostly gray, the skin on the top of the head is bright red, and there is a gray-white vertical band behind the eyes to the neck, and the feet are black. It inhabits open plains, meadows, swamps, river beaches, wilderness, lakes, and farmland; it is especially fond of open lakes and swamps with water-rich plants. It mainly feeds on food leaves, stems, shoots, tubers, grass, corn, grain, potatoes, cabbage, mollusks, insects, frogs, lizards, fish and other foods.
